Nasceu no ano de 1854, em Santo Amaro da Purifica\u00e7\u00e3o, no Rec\u00f4ncavo Baiano, e l\u00e1 foi confirmada no santo ganhando o nome pelo qual \u00e9 conhecida at\u00e9 os dias de hoje: Ciata.<\/p>\n<p>Em 1970, veio para o Rio de Janeiro no movimento conhecido como Di\u00e1spora Bahiana. Junto ao seu marido Jo\u00e3o Baptista da Silva, e outras pessoas do movimento, fez da Pra\u00e7a Onze uma Pequena \u00c1frica.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Quituteira, M\u00e3e de Santo, Partideira e Sambista, Ciata fez do seu quintal o encontro da ancestralidade. Muito antes de Madureira, o quintal da Tia Ciata j\u00e1 era considerado o \u201cber\u00e7o do samba\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Na rua Visconde de Ita\u00fana, 117, entre uma gira e outra, entre a venda de seus quitutes, Ciata organizava suas festas com muito samba. Foi no seu quintal, no ano de 1916, que o primeiro samba gravado no pa\u00eds, nasceu, chamado \u201cPelo Telefone\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A ala das baianas nas escolas de samba \u00e9 em homenagem a Tia Ciata e as outras negras que faziam as de carnaval na Pra\u00e7a Onze.<\/p>\n<p>Homenagear Tia Ciata \u00e9 relembrar a festa da acolhida, o apoio entre as nossas e o respeito \u00e0 ancestralidade.<\/p>\n<p>Viva Tia Ciata, a Matriarca do Samba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hil\u00e1ria Batista de Almeida, fez hist\u00f3ria na acolhida.
